-Wednesday, April 22 is the last day to order yearbooks.

-A virtual, on-line, socially distant talent show! Do you have a hidden talent? Can you sing? Play an instrument? Do magic?  Dance? Can you lick your elbow? Whatever your talent may be, let's see it!

This is how it will work. Use this Padlet to upload a video showcasing your talent. Be sure to include your name and grade level. Let’s see what kind of hidden talents our KSE students and teachers have! Don’t forget to like the videos! There maybe a prize for the best hidden talent per grade level at KSE! Let's have some fun! All entries must be in by April 30th.

-Friday, May 1, is KSE Spirit Day!

-Rev Coffee will host a Spirit Morning Saturday, May 9, 7 a.m. to noon.

-Monterrey will host a Spirit Night Friday, May 15, 5 - 9 p.m.

-We will have a class digital awards ceremony the week of May 18. Stay tuned!

-If your child has not filled out this Guidance form for Mrs. Hatcher, please have them do so.

-Any library books, book club books, and classroom books that your child borrowed may be returned to their Cobb middle school or KSE in the fall. Please clearly label any classroom or book club books with the school name and my name, as these are not bar-coded like library books. Thanks!

Week 33 Preview - Reading and Social Studies

Social Studies: We will finish World War II this week. This will cover the Holocaust, the home front, and VE/VJ Days.

Reading: We will review our most important nonfiction reading skills of the year - making inferences, main idea and details, and summarizing. We will be reading about the Civil Rights Movement, in an effort to cover all major Social Studies topics before the end of the year! Students will also complete their next book club response. Optional "small group" lessons will also be posted to our class OneNote. These are skills I was planning on reviewing with students based on past assessments prior to social distancing.

We're making it together! Please let me know if you or your child have any questions. Thanks!
